LED Printer

Equivalent to laser technology, it's ofen used now by the OKI trademark but by other for smaller price. The quality is virtually the same as a laser printer for a cheaper price.

The principle of operation of these printers is virtually identical, only the laser beam is replaced by a set of LED (1) that affects the entire drum to write information on drum before ink toner is down on paper. The downside, life is limited to a maximum number of copies. At print quality, they are equivalent to laser printers.

The connection to computer may be parallel, USB 1.1 - 2.0. or Ethernet as standard equipments.
